Dynamic position operators in Singapore are certified to operate vessels which use a dynamic system to keep the position of a vessel at a point against currents and waves. Sign Up for DP Induction

The first step you should take is signing up for the DP induction training which is a basic course that entails the likes of deck officers and engine officers who are working towards STCW certificate of competency. But depending on the school and country you are taking the training, it may cost between 1000$ and 2000$.

After starting the training, you will have four years in which you will obtain the DPO certificate. Keep in mind he course is approximately five days. It is then that you can acquire more basic knowledge about dynamic positioning.
